The meaning of life constitutes a philosophical question concerning the purpose and significance of human existence. The concept can be expressed through a variety of related questions, such as Why are we here?, What's life all about? and What is the meaning of it all?. It has been the subject of much philosophical, scientific, and theological speculation throughout history and there have been a large number of answers from many different cultural and ideological backgrounds.
The meaning of life is deeply mixed with the philosophical and religious conceptions of existence, consciousness, and happiness, and touches on many other issues, such as symbolic meaning, ontology, value, purpose, ethics, good and evil, free will, conceptions of God, the existence of God, the soul and the afterlife. Scientific contributions are more indirect; by describing the empirical facts about the universe, science provides some context and sets parameters for conversations on related topics. An alternative, human-centric, and not a cosmic/religious approach is the question "What is the meaning of my life?" The value of the question pertaining to the purpose of life may be considered to be coincidal with the achievement of ultimate reality, if that is believed by one to exist.
In general, these questions arise from dissatisfaction with life, some aspect of it: where people have difficulty understanding why particular things happen or why the world is the way it is, they seek broader understandings that might help them make meaning out of it. They may turn to philosophy or theology to provide broad, universal responses to these dissatisfactions. The emphasis of particular questions, and of the answers given to them, are heavily influenced by cultural and philosophical preconceptions, but usually fall into one or more of the following groups:
Attempts to find meaning in subjective sensory experience This may involve a focus on immediate experience and gratification, as in various forms of hedonism or carpe diem philosophies, or in long-term efforts at the creation of an aesthetically pleasing life, as with epicurianism. Attempts to understand, emulate, or instantiate ideal types or states In some cases this involves purification of the self or other objects, or renunciation of behaviors or objects considered to be imperfect, in order to 'make oneself worthy' of the solution. This often involves practices or rituals, as in Catholicism's practices of communion and confession or the ritual offerings offered in Hindu practice, but may be simple idealization, as in the ancient Greek notion of arete and modern self-help practices of visualizing positive outcomes. In some cases, this may entail imitation or emulation of divine figures: the repetition of Christ's torments in flagellation, or the presence of avatars in Hindu thought. Attempts to create a civic society Conceptions of brotherly love, universal tolerance, mutual respect, and similar constructs are often advanced as a way to structure a meaningful life for all. Similarly, moral codes and moral structures are often advanced by faiths as a way of maintaining peace and civility. Often these conceptions are connected with some notion of an afterlife where society is perfect and non-problematic; they are practiced in this life in order to ensure entry into the next. Freedom from innate restrictions or conditions This asserts that there is an 'authentic' or 'natural' way of life which obviates the dissatisfaction of normal (inauthentic or unnatural) existence. Sometimes this is envisioned as submission to a divie or natural order, as in Taoism's encouragement to follow the Tao or Christian references to God's plan. In other cases, it reflects complete liberation: freedom from all karmic influences in dharmic faiths, or the freedom from social constraints

10 things NOT to say on a first date

First dates are stressful, period. You don't want to lie or stretch the truth per se, but you also don't want to send your date running off to hail a cab before you've even ordered the cheese plate. Basically, the goals of a successful first date are to reveal that adorable, endearing part of yourself, learn more about the stranger sitting across from you, and to see if there is any connection between you two crazy kids. Obviously, it's important to be honest, but some of the more intimate parts of you are well, sorta personal, and no one's forcing you to spill all the beans. (Besides, everybody is intrigued by a little mystery and you want to save something for the second and third dates, right?) We don't really believe there are any hard and fast rules when it comes to dating, and despite what movies would have you think, there is no such thing as the "perfect date," so take these with a grain of salt. Still, here's hoping you find a couple of them helpful, and good luck out there.

1. "My ex is crazy."
There's a fine line between love and hate, but both are equally fueled by passion. If someone even mentions their ex on a first date, watch out, you could be entering into a three-way relationship. Brace yourself: drama ahead! Anyway, if you're not over your ex, keep it to yourself. Your date certainly doesn't want to hear about it.

2. "I would like to get married and have kids asap."
Slow. That. Roll. Whether you're a man or a woman, uttering those words automatically puts pressure on an already delicate, stressful meeting, not to mention the fact that it's a foolproof way to scare someone off and fast.

3. "Who are you voting for?"
There's a saying in the south about not bringing up politics or religion in polite company. Plenty of couples don't always share political (or religious) views, and learn to make things work. But when you're trying to make a good first impression, it's probably best to avoid overly emotional topics in order to avoid a sparring match. (Look at it this way, if you become a couple, you'll have plenty of opportunities to fight later!)

4. "Can you pay the check? I'm broke."
Hey, the economy is in the toilet. Of course you're broke. We're all broke. But common courtesy dictates that the person who did the date asking offer to pay the bill. Chances are, if your date has good manners, they'll offer to split it or pay the tip. Let's face it, gone are the days where the guy automatically must pay for dinner or he's a loser. But no matter what the circumstances are, flat out asking your date to pay the bill is a major turn-off.

5. "What's your favorite TV show?"
C'mon, we can do better than that. Asking about hobbies and other interests can lead to great conversation, but the last message you want to convey is that your favorite activity is watching the tube with a tub of ice cream. Save talking about "America's Next Top Model" for the work water cooler or something.

6. "Where did you go to school?"
Believe it or not, many people didn't go to college, and totally resent being put on the spot with this tired old question. And while plenty of grads are happy to wax on and on about their "glory years" or whatever, it's probably better to ask something like, "Have you always lived here?" "How did you choose your career?" or another more general question that might lead you to discussing educational background. Again, it may seem strange, but for all kinds of reasons, a lot of people have negative knee-jerk reactions to this seemingly innocuous question.

7. "Can I take your picture?"
Creepy much? But yeah, I have girlfriends who've been waylaid by this gem. For real. Maybe it's the thought of him showing his buddies your photo and bragging about bagging you, or even the image of him fawning over your pic tacked up on one of those cray-cray serial killer wall collages. Either way, ick.

8. "I'm poly-(fill in the blank)"
There are folks who are polyamorous (def: the desire, practice, or acceptance of having more than one loving, intimate relationship at a time with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved); polygamist (def: the practice of marriage to more than one spouse simultaneously); and yes, some are even polyester salesmen (def: dudes who peddle chintzy wares). Right then. Unless you met that person on a "special" site devoted to that kind of stuff, chances are your date won't appreciate your um, open-minded ways.

9. "So I just got out of rehab."
So maybe you have some personal problems you've been working on. Perhaps you've been in therapy since you were 13 years old. Whatever the case may be, it's probably best not to introduce your new romantic interest to your BIG, SCARY ISSUES, at least not yet. Everybody has problems big and small, but the first date is more about showing off your personality, not painting yourself as a psychotic addict (even if you are, just a smidge). Note: If you are seriously in the midst of a personal crisis, and that includes excessive drug use and/or major psychological treatment, not to be all judgey, but you probably shouldn't be on a date right now.

10. "So ya wanna come back to my place?"
Not everyone is old-fashioned about first dates. The right time to sleep with someone is up to you, but numerous informal polls, um, around the office show that when a guy propositions a woman for sex on the first date, she tends to get skeeved, and when a girl does the same, many dudes are likely to file her in the one night stand category. Double standard? Sure. And yes, some couples do have sex on the first date and there is nothing wrong with that. But I think you know what I'm sayin'...

This week I been eating this fruit called ''Mamey''.

Very popular fruit in Florida, the Caribbean islands, and Central America. It is sometimes cultivated outside of the Americas. Fruit is large, up to a foot long with orange flesh tasting somewhat like a flavorful pumpkin. Many varieties are available and the fruit is highly esteemed.
Description: Large tree from 60-140ft. Hardiness: The tree is usually too tender to fruit in California. Young trees are highly susceptible to frost.Growing Environment: Grow in full sun. The mamey sapote flourishes in tropical climates with rainfall above 75" a year. Trees to not take well to periods of drought and will quickly loose their leaves.Propagation: The best varieties are usually propagated by grafting. Grafted trees may bear in 1-4 years. Seedling trees take 8-10 years to fruit.

Kopi Luwak the most expensive coffee in the world does exist, and those who drink the expensive coffee insist that it is made from coffee beans eaten, partly digested and then excreted by the Common palm civet, a weasel-like animal.
“Kopi” the Indonesian word for coffee along with “luwak” is local name of this animal which eats the raw red coffee beans. The civet digests the soft outer part of the coffee cherry, but does not digest the inner beans and excretes them.
Apparently the internal digestion ends up adds a unique flavor to the beans, removing the bitter flavor, and then beans are then picked up by locals and sold. The most expensive coffee beans can cost up to $600 a pound, and up to $50 per cup, if you can get over the fact that you are drinking such a strange brew.

Positive thinking is a practice - positive thinking is something you learn over time. Positive thinking is not something that you were born with. A little background about positive thinking.
I'm sure many of you have heard of positive thinking and probably have read books about the subject. Many people believe that positive thinking is something you do on occasion. I often hear them say: "I'm a positive thinker, things will improve I know that." This is good - but it's not enough to create positive results in your life.
Why not?
Because positive thinking is not an attitude that you turn to when things go wrong.
Positive thinking is not something you do on occasion or keep in the back of your head.
Positive thinking is a practice! That's right a practice! Positive thinking is something you have to do everyday as often as possible when ever you can. By practicing positive thinking everyday you create a state of mind where you are constantly positive - it becomes a state of being positive. In the end you create a tremendous amount of positive energy - that only creates positive situations for you everyday.
In some cases Doctors now believe that having a positive attitude - that is practicing positive thinking everyday can improve your health. In fact, Researchers found that having an optimistic outlook can do wonders for a patient's recovery - especially for those who have just gone through surgery. Researchers studied 16-patients over a 30-year period - examining their attitudes and recovery after surgery.
"In each case the better a patient's expectations about how they would do after surgery or some health procedure, the better they did," said author Donald Cole, of the Institute for Work and Health in Toronto. The review says that the power of positive thinking is real, said ABCNEWS' Medical Correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman on Good Morning America today. "This mind-body connection that we have been toying with for the past couple of decades really does have hard science behind it," Snyderman said. The study looked at patients who had a wide range of conditions - from back pain to heart problems. They found that patients who thought they would do well after surgery - did do well. Those who thought they wouldn't do so well - didn't fare well.
So how do we do this? How do we make positive thinking a part of our daily lives so that we stop defeating ourselves and make our lives better?
Actually it's quite easy - the trick is that it requires discipline and practice.
First begin by observing yourself. Pay attention to your thoughts. See how many are positive and how many are negative. Keep a notepad handy and keep track of the number of positive thoughts that you have and the number of negative thoughts you have. At the end of your day - take a look at the number - if you have more negative thoughts then there's some work to do.
The next day - observe your thoughts again. This time pay attention to the types of negative thoughts that you are having. See how they impact your life. Are these negative thoughts a part of reality - is that the way life is. For example: if you say you hate your job - do you really hate it? If you say your boss is a pain - is he/she really a pain? If these negative thoughts are a part of your life - then you have created your own negative reality.
That's right you created it. Every negative belief you have is manifested in your life. These beliefs are based on the thoughts you have. Thoughts repeated over and over again become a belief and a belief becomes reality. Negative thoughts repeated over and over again will create a negative reality. Positive thoughts repeated over and over again - create a positive reality.
First you have to understand your negative thoughts and beliefs then only can you begin changing them. Once you begin changing them you begin creating a positive attitude - and ultimately you begin practicing positive thinking everyday. In order to get the most out of positive thinking you have to make it a way of life.
So begin by getting rid of those negative thoughts and negative beliefs, which serve you no purpose, except to make you miserable. Then you'll be able to begin having a positive attitude and start enjoying life again.
The next step is to start using all your inner powers to so you're your mind gets used to positive thinking and so that you are always carrying a positive attitude. This will lead you to creating the life you want. These inner powers all start in your mind - which is the most powerful force you have. It is a force - that when used as it should - can create wonderful things in your life.
